Full Time Licensed Therapist

Job Description:  

The Vine Pastoral Counseling Center is seeking a full time (24 clinical hours per week) licensed mental health professional to meet the demands in our growing ministry.  The therapist will provide individual, marital and family therapy with the opportunity to offer workshops for the community.  

The Vine is a nonprofit organization 501-3c that fosters the use of faith resources to heal emotional problems.  We have been in existence in the community since 1999, and we currently have 23 supporting churches.  We have a sliding fee scale so that a person’s fee is set according to their ability to pay.  We see people across the economic spectrum and also file insurance.  It is not uncommon for our waiting room to contain medical professionals, church members, people on social security disability, and people who do not have a church affiliation but heard about our services.  We welcome all.  We are able to make Scholarship Assisted sessions possible through the support of 23 supporting churches, corporate sponsors, foundations and individual donors in the community.  We believe that making counseling available to all honors the heart of Christ.

Our team includes 8 therapists, 2 full-time support staff, and 2 part-time support staff.  We promote a peaceful work environment and have a nice community at the core of our organization.  We are also at the end of a successful capital campaign, and we have purchased our forever home at 608 Church Street.  Renovations are underway, and we will be in our new facility by Spring of next year.  It is an exciting time for our counseling center, and we are looking for the right person to join our practice. 

Requirements:  

Licensure to practice in the State of Alabama is required.  Therapists with the following licensures will be considered:  LMFT, LPC, LiCSW, Licensed Clinical Psychologist.  Theological training preferred.   5+ years of experience is preferred.  

Benefits:

This full time position does include benefits including support for medical premiums or retirement, at the choice of the employee. It also includes paid vacation hours. 

Wages:

The compensation will be negotiated based on the therapist’s experience level.
